Why Arcade Racers Are the Perfect Phone Games
Not every game needs depth. Some of my most-played titles are the ones I open for ninety seconds and close feeling great. Arcade racers are the champions of this, and Neon Drift Rush reminded me why.
The whole appeal is immediacy. No loading a save, no remembering where you left off. You tap play, you drift, you either nail the corner or you don't. That instant loop is exactly what a phone game should offer.
Touch controls beat tilt here almost every time. Tilt sounds fun until you're on a bus trying not to look ridiculous. A simple tap-to-drift setup keeps you in control and keeps the game playable anywhere.
If a racer starts demanding long grinds before you can compete, it's missing the point. The best ones let you have fun from the first race and treat upgrades as a bonus, not a gate.
