About

PixelVerdict started as a group chat between three friends who kept swapping screenshots of whatever we were playing on the bus. At some point we realised we trusted each other's takes more than the star ratings in the app stores, so we turned it into a proper site.

We're a small independent editorial team. Nobody hands us a script. When we cover a game we install it on our own devices, play it the way a normal person would, and write down what stuck and what annoyed us. If a menu is a mess or the controls fight you, we say so.

We pick games across every genre because our readers aren't all the same. Some want a quiet puzzle before bed, others want a strategy game deep enough to lose a weekend to. We rotate between what's trending, what readers ask about, and hidden things we stumble on ourselves.

The goal is simple: read a review here, and you should have a clear idea of whether the game fits how you play. No hype, no pressure.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been writing about games for over a decade and still keeps three phones charged just to test different builds. He leads the editorial team and edits most of what goes out.
