Big Bass Catch

Big Bass Catch is one of those games I opened planning to try for five minutes and closed forty minutes later. The loop is straightforward: you pick a spot, cast your line with a quick swipe, and then wait for a bite. When something tugs, a little timing bar appears and you tap-and-hold to reel it in without snapping the line. It sounds simple, and it is, but there's a real satisfaction to landing a big one you nearly lost.

The controls are all one thumb, which makes it perfect for playing while half-distracted. Casting distance depends on how far you swipe, and the reel-in has just enough tension that you can't zone out completely. Different fishing spots throw different fish at you, and slowly unlocking new locations kept me coming back longer than I expected. Nothing here demands your full attention, and that's exactly the point.

My only small gripe is that later spots can feel a bit samey until you get the rhythm of the tougher catches. But the pacing is gentle, the art is clean and bright, and it never nags you to hurry up. As a chill-out game it does its job really well.
